PM Surya Ghar is a Government of India programme supporting eligible residential rooftop-solar installations. Current central financial assistance is ₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and ₹78,000 for 3 kW or above, subject to prevailing scheme rules, eligible equipment, approved processes and authority verification.
Typical process
Register on the official portal → select the state and electricity distribution company → submit consumer details → obtain feasibility approval where required → choose an eligible vendor and system → complete installation → inspection and commissioning → submit project and bank details → authority verification and eligible disbursement.
